Project Soho. Project Soho is a 10-week program that offers St .Joost Master of Animation students hands-on experience with working in the context of a studio setting and dealing with real clients.
As part of the Soho-Submarine collaboration, we worked on character designs for the feature FAYA.
Patrick Chin – Art Direction
Fusion of tapir and heart-like structures symbolizing its connection to blood.
Sticks in the body – The tapirs have sticks sticking out from their flesh, symbolizing control and suffering.
Antlers as forced - Transformation The unnatural, deer-like antlers represent the tapir being forced into something it was never meant to be.
