Hello, my name is Evelien Krooshoop
I’m an illustrator and graphic designer. I stay in the same place, surrounded by what is familiar. There is something interesting about standing still and observing small changes and details.
My work explores climate change and the natural world through imaginative narratives and absurd theories — for example, in Aquatic Library, or when creating character designs like in Creature Design – Animated Feature film FAYA. I find it fascinating to collect endless information about how nature and society function — and may evolve — as well as to organize the chaos of knowledge that results.
I value craftsmanship and enjoy creating work that reflects traditional analog techniques. I’m drawn to projects that look handmade and unique, with attention to texture, layering, and detail.
